On Thursday June 20, your FGFD, in cooperation with the Cumberland County Emergency Communications District and the Cumberland County Fire Department, staged an emergency drill for a high density assisted living facility at Good Samaritan in Fairfield Glade. The purpose of the drill was to map out standard operating guidelines and to exchange ideas for procedures between the two fire departments that will allow for maximum effectiveness in an emergency. The drill included mapping out strategic areas where apparatus should be stationed along with a “tabletop” discussion between command personnel as to how best to attack any emergency that may arise at the facility. This drill represents the commitment of your FGFD and the Cumberland County Fire Department to mutual aid that ensures the best emergency services are delivered to Fairfield Glade Residents.
